The Dirty Culprits began back in the fall as a weekly funk act at The Scarlet Tree (a well known R&B club in Seattle). Bassist Birch Pereira assembled four of his favorite gigging musicians to create a band that could play the classics but also explore original musical concepts.
The Dirty Culprits built up their sound and musical rapport until The Scarlet Tree's untimely demise in a fire. The Dirty Culprits then took their sound, repertoire, and fans and hit the road, playing throughout Seattle and the Northwest.
